Watching someone you love suffer from severe illnesses and genetic disorders is traumatic and heartbreaking. Families going through these situations need support and hope for treatments that will give their loved one a chance.
The 2018 Krilogy Cares partner, Dueling for Lincoln, was founded to help support families experiencing such tragedies. The organization was created by Matt Mercer, Krilogy Tax Services Senior Public Accountant, and his wife, Kelsey, in honor of their son, Lincoln, who was lost to Noonan’s Syndrome at two and a half months old.
The Krilogy team unanimously voted to support their teammate in his efforts to raise funds for Dueling for Lincoln to further research in finding treatments for Noonan’s Syndrome, Congenital Heart Disease, and Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML), and provide financial support to families coping with these event, featuring dueling pianos, as well as other entertainment, food, drinks, and games, and a silent auction.
Krilogy will support Dueling for Lincoln in their annual charity event, as well as throughout the rest of the year raising funds, so that families can have hope in the face of these traumatic diseases. The firm’s first 2018 event in support of Dueling for Lincoln was a 5K run held at Krilogy’s Creve Coeur campus. Team members and supporters came out in full force, while Matt and Kelsey shared the story of the organization and their mission to help families as their children face illnesses.
