Among the core values present in every Krilogy team member is that of Abundance, where a servant mentality leads to the goal of “how can we help” clients, others on the team, or the community in which we live. It was that commitment to service that led Krilogy Advisor Michael Brown to spearhead an initiative call the Lights On Campaign, made up of local business leaders who are focused on shedding light on the needs of others in the community.
The inaugural event of the Lights On campaign took place on June 11 and benefited Brace for Impact, the charity founded by former Cardinal pitcher Kyle McClellan and his wife Bridget, to raise money for children in Haiti. Nearly 300 people crowded into the TAP Restaurant in St. Charles to support the event, which raised $5000 towards Brace for Impact’s current project to support the IDADEE Children’s Home in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. The organization broke ground on the building in June and is over halfway to its fundraising goal of $200,000 to complete the facility.
“At Krilogy, we’re able to live out our core belief of Abundance with the support of leadership and our team as a whole, where each of us chooses to be abundant and serve others,” said Brown. “Each of us has the opportunity to make an impact on our culture and the community. My work on the Lights On initiative and the partnership with local business leaders to support the great work of the charities has enabled me to make an even greater impact in the community.”
Each quarter, Lights On will select a different charity that will be the beneficiary of fundraising efforts. “We’re looking forward to future events that will help support causes that are near and dear to our members’ hearts,” said Brown.
