Josh Willbrand, CFP®, is a Wealth Advisor at Krilogy, working with individuals, families, and business owners from the firm’s St. Charles County office in St. Peters, Missouri. Josh joined Krilogy in 2019 and has more than 7 years of experience in financial services, with a particular focus on helping families plan their estates and the transfer of wealth to future generations.
Josh brings investment management, retirement and income planning, tax planning, insurance, and estate planning together into one coordinated plan. He works closely with clients’ CPAs and estate planning attorneys so each piece fits, and he is known for explaining complex financial topics in plain terms so clients can feel confident about the path ahead. Josh earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Missouri State University.
When I graduated from college, I was drawn to financial services because I wanted to build a career in finance. Over time, it became much more than a career. I found a real passion for helping individuals and families work through the challenges, opportunities, and important decisions that come with personal finance. Today I see being a wealth advisor as a calling, and a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people I work with.
Much of my work is with families thinking through their estates and how their wealth will pass to the next generation, and with business owners preparing to exit their companies. Both are moments with a lot of moving parts, and I enjoy helping people see how all of those pieces connect. In a first meeting, my priority is understanding where you are today and where you want to go. We'll talk about your goals, concerns, family, financial picture, and the important decisions ahead. One of the first questions I ask is, "What financial decisions are most important for you to get right?" Your answer shows me what matters most to you and where I can provide the most meaningful guidance.
I was born and raised in St. Charles and still call St. Charles County home. I've been married since 2020, and we have two kids. I played golf collegiately at Missouri Baptist University, and I still love getting out on the course. In my free time, you'll also find me playing chess or playing sports with my family.
I'm passionate about supporting the Child Advocacy Center of Northeast Missouri and its work to protect children and combat abuse and exploitation in St. Charles County.
