About Megan L. Kim

Megan Kim is the Investment Advisory Operations Manager at Krilogy in Creve Coeur, Missouri, where she leads the behind-the-scenes operations that help advisors deliver thoughtful, responsive service to their clients. Megan has more than 13 years of experience in financial services and joined Krilogy in 2013.

Much of Megan’s work happens where clients never see it, from keeping account operations running smoothly to helping spot and stop fraud attempts before they reach client assets. By handling the back-office details, she and her team give advisors more time to focus on building trusted, long-term relationships with the families they serve. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in political science, with a concentration in law, from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.

What I love about my work

The most satisfying part of my job is knowing that the important work clients may never see is being handled carefully and correctly. That includes making sure client accounts are billed accurately, along with protecting their assets from potential threats. I've seen cases where a client was hacked, and our team was able to keep the hackers from taking their money before the client even knew anything had happened. Whether we're preventing a loss or ensuring a client's billing is accurate, knowing we helped protect their financial well-being is incredibly fulfilling. If I were in their place, I would want someone doing the same for me.

How I help clients

My team takes on the back-office work so advisors don't have to. That frees them to focus on their clients and build the kind of trusting, lasting relationships that matter most. When advisors can spend their time where it counts, they grow, and so do I and the firm as a whole. I'm proud to be part of the support system that makes that possible.

Outside the office

I grew up in Jonesburg, Missouri, and now live in St. Louis with my husband. Most of my free time is spent with family and friends. I love to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try. When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll find me exploring the St. Louis food scene, spending time outdoors, or traveling.
