Why I became an advisor
I took my first finance class in high school, and two things ultimately drew me to this career. First, I've always believed hard work and effort lead to success, and as an advisor, that effort shows up directly in the relationships you build with clients. The second reason is personal. When I was 18, my grandparents passed away within a few months of each other, and my dad served as executor of their estate. Watching him and his five siblings work through the inheritance process showed me how much strain a lack of education and preparation can put on a family. I told myself that wouldn't happen to my sister and me, or to anyone else I care about.
