Kim Colt is the Director of Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Krilogy, based in the firm’s Creve Coeur, MO office. Kim joined Krilogy in 2025 and leads work behind the scenes on the firm’s financial reporting, performance monitoring, and planning, giving advisors the reliable information and operational support they need to stay focused on clients.
Before Krilogy, Kim spent more than six years in accounting and finance roles in the technology industry, building experience across financial reporting, budgeting, audits, system implementations, and process improvement. Along the way, Kim found a passion for making things more efficient and turning financial information into something the business can use. Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama and completed the Certified Financial Planning and Analysis (CFPA) program through the Wharton School.
I really enjoy the problem-solving side of my job. There's something satisfying about digging into a complicated issue, figuring out what's really going on, and finding a practical way to make it better. A lot of that work happens behind the scenes, and clients may never see it. But knowing it helps our team work more efficiently and make better-informed decisions is what makes it so rewarding for me.
My work helps make sure our advisors have reliable information, efficient processes, and strong operational support behind them. Day to day, that means improving our reporting, monitoring the firm's financial performance, and helping Krilogy plan ahead. When those pieces are in place, they create a stable foundation that lets advisors stay focused on what clients need from them.
I grew up in St. Louis with my parents and sister and went to Nerinx Hall High School before moving away for college. Today I live in Webster Groves with my husband and our Norwegian Elkhound. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and finding new places and experiences around St. Louis and beyond.
