Lauren Gilliam, JD, is a Partner at Krilogy Law in Creve Coeur, Missouri, where she helps individuals and families put thoughtful estate plans in place. Lauren joined Krilogy Law in 2025 after owning and running her own estate planning law firm for 14 years. Her focus is helping clients get critical documents in order so the people they love are prepared for whatever comes next.
Earlier in her career, Lauren worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and as a United States Probation Officer. She earned her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
The most satisfying part of my work is knowing that once a client completes their estate plan, they are in a much better place than they were before those crucial documents were signed. Clients may never see everything that goes into getting those details right, but I take real pride in knowing their wishes are clearly documented and that their loved ones can move through that transition with as little stress as possible.
I love helping clients think through their wishes and shape an estate plan that fits their family. Estate planning brings up questions a lot of people put off, and I enjoy working through them together so nothing important is left to chance or guesswork. The peace of mind clients have once the process is complete makes the time and effort well worth it.
I live in Wildwood, Missouri, with my husband, Mark, a firefighter paramedic with Metro West, and our three crazy little boys. James, our oldest, is a baseball fanatic. Charlie, our middle, is the happiest, most determined little guy I know. And no one has more fun than our youngest, “Jack-Jack the Maniac.” When I am not spending time with my boys, I love trying new restaurants and organizing charity events.
I co-founded and serve on the board of Code 3 Response, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation that assists area first responders who were critically injured in the line of duty or who have suffered a catastrophic life event. I also volunteer my time advocating for children with complex medical needs, including with Colton’s Cause, a St. Louis nonprofit that assists families of children and young adults with special needs. I previously served on the steering committee for Teddy’s Playground at Queeny Park, which built the first inclusive playground in West County. It is wonderful having a place where my boys, who all have different abilities, can play side by side.
